When the dog is ready to give birth, can be both an exciting and a time very stressful. Childbirth is a wonderful experience, if planned properly. However, planning for all possible outcomes is impossible, and sometimes the difficulties that may occur to endanger the life of your dog, puppies, or both. To minimize these dangers, it is vital to arm with information, supplies, instruments and tools, and trusted advice and support your veterinarian expert or other animals.
At about eight or nine weeks, pregnancy termination is considered the bitch that means that is about to give birth to puppies. By this time, your dog should have a confinement or nesting area that is clean, dry and normal temperature. The area should also be quiet, not like dogs lots of excitement and noise before, during or after the experience of childbirth. After consulting with your veterinarian, you will have a wealth of supplies on hand. These actions include many clean towels, blankets, trash containers sealed bottles, weaning, hemostatic forceps, dental floss, a thermometer, lubrication, syringes, (Without needles, preferably 3 cc), scissors, and iodine.
Perhaps the most important implements will be used during pregnancy and childbirth is the thermometer. A dog's normal temperature is about 101.5 degrees. About 12-24 hours before delivery, your dog will experience a decrease in temperature of 1-2 degrees, sometimes up to 3 degrees. During this phase, your dog must be confined to his room confinement or pet at any time you are not under the direct observation. Other signs that indicate the Instant birth restlessness, decreased appetite, enlargement of the mammary gland, with or without presenting the milk, a pendulous abdomen, and vulva relaxed. If you notice these signs or combinations thereof, labor is imminent.
Most puppies are born head first, but well over four in ten will births rear or after the first quarter. In most cases, the dog will be able to take care of herself-birth should be your work only to observe. In the case of a birth back, may need to use a towel over his hands to provide the downward pressure gently grasping the sides pup. Gentle support is the only method to be used, and this is done to prevent the depletion of the dog from overexerting itself in an attempt to force the baby out. Under no circumstances should interfere with this. Delivery time between puppies can be anywhere from several minutes to several hours. During this time, need to monitor the health of puppies and the dam. Keep dogs clean and dry, not wet or using any type of soap. Clamp and cut umbilical cords, if you was instructed on how to do it. Some dogs like to go outside and urinate between births, or to snack on food from birth. You should make it as comfortable as possible.
In abnormal birth, the advice of a veterinarian is always better. However, sometimes you may need to perform CPR on a baby to save his life. Puppies sometimes may inhale fluids in the birth canal which may make them weak or unconscious, and that may or may not be breathing. You may be required to handle the puppy, do CPR, and still monitor your dog and care for her and the puppies that are still to come. For this reason, we strongly recommend that people there were on hand to help if you need it.

In fact, little information outlined here makes it even more obvious that childbirth is a fundamental task to be carried out by farmers who were liable trained and educated on what to do.
